Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Leonard Freed could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work West Germany, Near Dortmund, 1958 changed hands for USD 875.00 (€ 659.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leonard Freed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected images from Police Work in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard Freed konnte im Dezember 2010 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit West Germany, Near Dortmund, 1958 für USD 875,00 (€ 659,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leonard Freed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected images from Police Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73).
