Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tangier by Leon Francesco Morrocco was sold in the Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh auction at Christies in London in October 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,169.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leon Francesco Morrocco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunlight On Fishermen'S Houses, Procida, Bay Of Naples, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,629.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tangier von Leon Francesco Morrocco wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.169,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leon Francesco Morrocco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunlight On Fishermen'S Houses, Procida, Bay Of Naples beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.629,23) versteigert wurde.
