Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Watermelon, aubergine, apples, bananas and a pear on a table by Leon Francesco Morrocco. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,106.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Francesco Morrocco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunlight On Fishermen'S Houses, Procida, Bay Of Naples in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,629.23).

Im September 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Watermelon, aubergine, apples, bananas and a pear on a table von Leon Francesco Morrocco zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.106,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Francesco Morrocco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunlight On Fishermen'S Houses, Procida, Bay Of Naples im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.629,23).
