Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,922.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leon Francesco Morrocco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunlight On Fishermen'S Houses, Procida, Bay Of Naples, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,629.23).
