In October 2017 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Paul Lombard Collection, which included the work Apothéose D'Un Saint by Léon Bonnat. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,200.00 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Bonnat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Samson's Youth in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 408,000.00 (€ 319,423.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Paul Lombard Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Apothéose D'Un Saint von Léon Bonnat zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.200,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Bonnat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Samson's Youth im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 408.000,00 (€ 319.423,78).
