Auction result misses estimated price range
In July last year a collector was able to acquire the work La Lutte de Jacob by Léon Bonnat for GBP 47,880.00 (€ 57,177.22). This price was achieved in the auction European & British Art, Part I at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Léon Bonnat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Samson's Youth in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 408,000.00 (€ 319,423.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Lutte de Jacob von Léon Bonnat für GBP 47.880,00 (€ 57.177,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European & British Art, Part I bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Léon Bonnat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Samson's Youth im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 408.000,00 (€ 319.423,78).
