Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Object By Joseph Cornell, New York, 1933 by Lee Miller. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,478.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 504,000.00 (€ 418,952.62).
