Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Granpop Goes Gliding; by Lawson Wood was sold in the British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations auction at Christies in London in December 2002. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 1,082.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Lawson Wood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gran'pop starts a poultry farm in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,411.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Granpop Goes Gliding; von Lawson Wood wurde im Dezember 2002 in der Auktion British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 705,00 (€ 1.082,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lawson Wood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gran'pop starts a poultry farm im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.411,05).
