Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2017 Christies in Paris held the auction Patrimoine de Saint-Germain-des-Prés - Vente caritative, which included the work Wrapping Bonbon Peint, Barbarella by Laurence Jenkell. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 32,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laurence Jenkell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 294,945.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Patrimoine de Saint-Germain-des-Prés - Vente caritative durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wrapping Bonbon Peint, Barbarella von Laurence Jenkell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 32.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laurence Jenkell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 294.945,09).
