Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled #9 by Lari Pittman. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,208.29). Admittedly, works by Lari Pittman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 204,657.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #9 von Lari Pittman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.208,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lari Pittman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 204.657,09).
