Auction result well in line with expectations
The work All That Glitters Is Gold From 1989 by Lari Pittman was sold in the Prints & MultiplesFeaturing the Arthur N. Gilbert Collection auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 860.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lari Pittman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 204,657.09).
