Upper estimate price exceeded by 92 %.
This artwork by Lai Shaoqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Studios In Misty Moutains sold for HKD 478,800.00 (€ 53,031.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lai Shaoqi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 1,770,000.00 (€ 194,809.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lai Shaoqi erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Studios In Misty Moutains für HKD 478.800,00 (€ 53.031,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lai Shaoqi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 1.770.000,00 (€ 194.809,41) versteigert wurde.
