Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lai Shaoqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Scenery of Mount Huang sold for HKD 819,000.00 (€ 99,023.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lai Shaoqi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Flowers sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of HKD 1,770,000.00 (€ 194,809.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lai Shaoqi erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Scenery of Mount Huang für HKD 819.000,00 (€ 99.023,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lai Shaoqi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Flowers im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.770.000,00 (€ 194.809,41).
