Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plum Blossom And Calligraphy by Lai Shaoqi was sold in the Collections of paintings preserved by overseas collectors IV auction at POLY in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 12,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 14,400.00 (€ 2,212.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lai Shaoqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,770,000.00 (€ 194,809.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Plum Blossom And Calligraphy von Lai Shaoqi wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Collections of paintings preserved by overseas collectors IV bei POLY versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 14.400,00 (€ 2.212,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lai Shaoqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.770.000,00 (€ 194.809,41).
