The work Mount Huang by Lai Shaoqi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 252,000.00 (€ 30,468.63), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lai Shaoqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,770,000.00 (€ 194,809.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mount Huang von Lai Shaoqi wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 30.468,63) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lai Shaoqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.770.000,00 (€ 194.809,41).
