Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wrested from Mirrors by Kurt Seligmann was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018. The price achieved of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,647.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Seligmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Witches in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 173,000.00 (€ 238,541.31).
