Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jean Sans Terre Nettoyé Par Le Vide (Mason 82.I.A) by Kurt Seligmann was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,000.00 (€ 896.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Seligmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Witches in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 173,000.00 (€ 238,541.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jean Sans Terre Nettoyé Par Le Vide (Mason 82.I.A) von Kurt Seligmann kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 896,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kurt Seligmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Witches im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.000,00 (€ 238.541,31).
