A top price for Kurt Seligmann
This artwork by Kurt Seligmann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2015. In the Surrealist Art Evening Sale auction, the work Witches sold for GBP 173,000.00 (€ 238,541.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. This high result makes Witches the most expensive artwork by Kurt Seligmann that we have observed at auctions so far.
