Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cynthia Antonio, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1990 by Kurt Markus was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2009. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,283.37). Admittedly, works by Kurt Markus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ranch, Paisley, Oregon, 1981 in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,457.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cynthia Antonio, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1990 von Kurt Markus kam im Februar 2009 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.283,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kurt Markus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ranch, Paisley, Oregon, 1981 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.457,93).
