Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Revelations V from State of the Nation by Kudzanai Chiurai for USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,760.60). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kudzanai Chiurai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zimbabwean enterprise , which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,324.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Revelations V from State of the Nation von Kudzanai Chiurai für USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.760,60) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kudzanai Chiurai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zimbabwean enterprise beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.324,99) versteigert wurde.
