Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Displaced (Diptych) (In 2 Pieces) by Kudzanai Chiurai. The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,505.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Kudzanai Chiurai have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Zimbabwean enterprise was auctioned for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,324.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Displaced (Diptych) (In 2 Pieces) von Kudzanai Chiurai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.505,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Kudzanai Chiurai konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit Zimbabwean enterprise für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.324,99) versteigert.
