Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work UbuNgoma, 2011 by Kudzanai Chiurai. It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,586.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Kudzanai Chiurai have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Zimbabwean enterprise was auctioned for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,324.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit UbuNgoma, 2011 von Kudzanai Chiurai zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.586,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Kudzanai Chiurai konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit Zimbabwean enterprise für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.324,99) versteigert.
