Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Vogelkooi - Birdcage by Klaas Gubbels. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,250.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Klaas Gubbels - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tafel met kan en trechter, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 8,962.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vogelkooi - Birdcage von Klaas Gubbels zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Klaas Gubbels mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tafel met kan en trechter beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 8.962,50 versteigert wurde.
