The work Een Stoomert by Klaas Gubbels was sold in the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2008. The result of EUR 2,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Klaas Gubbels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tafel met kan en trechter in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 8,962.50.

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Klaas Gubbels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tafel met kan en trechter im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.962,50.
