In September 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Jan & Monique des Bouvrie Collection, which included this untitled work by Klaas Gubbels. The result of EUR 2,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Klaas Gubbels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tafel met kan en trechter in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 8,962.50.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Jan & Monique des Bouvrie Collection durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Klaas Gubbels zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Klaas Gubbels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tafel met kan en trechter im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.962,50.
