Sold at the upper estimate price
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Saai - Zuinige tafel by Klaas Gubbels. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Klaas Gubbels - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tafel met kan en trechter, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 8,962.50.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saai - Zuinige tafel von Klaas Gubbels zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Klaas Gubbels mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tafel met kan en trechter beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 8.962,50 versteigert wurde.
