Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Schaaktafel and Zwarte tafel by Klaas Gubbels was sold in the Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. The price achieved of EUR 776.75 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 650.00 – 950.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Klaas Gubbels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tafel met kan en trechter in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 8,962.50.

Die Arbeit Schaaktafel and Zwarte tafel von Klaas Gubbels wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 776,75 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 650,00 – 950,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Klaas Gubbels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tafel met kan en trechter im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.962,50.
