Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kishio Suga could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections auction, the work Space-Connection-Construction-Outline changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,216.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kishio Suga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Protrusion Series "Gaps in Surroundings" in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 627,500.00 (€ 66,187.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kishio Suga konnte im September 2010 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections wechselte die Arbeit Space-Connection-Construction-Outline für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.216,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kishio Suga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Protrusion Series "Gaps in Surroundings" im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 627.500,00 (€ 66.187,65).
