Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Oiso Long Beach by Key Hiraga. The auction ended at the price of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 40,593.52), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 280,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Key Hiraga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fenetre (Window), which sold at auction in March 2018 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 90,482.95).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oiso Long Beach von Key Hiraga zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 40.593,52) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 280.000,00 – 350.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Key Hiraga mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fenetre (Window) beobachtet, die im März 2018 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 90.482,95) versteigert wurde.
