Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nat-Shango (Thunder) by Kerry James Marshall was sold in the 21st Century Evening Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 7,500,000.00 (€ 6,150,565.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,500,000.00 – 8,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kerry James Marshall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Past Times, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 21,114,500.00 (€ 18,092,973.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nat-Shango (Thunder) von Kerry James Marshall wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion 21st Century Evening Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.500.000,00 (€ 6.150.565,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.500.000,00 – 8.500.000,00 angegeben worden.
