Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Figures by Kenneth Armitage was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 712.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenneth Armitage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Striding Figures (Version 2) in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 218,750.00 (€ 247,224.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Figures von Kenneth Armitage kam im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 712,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Armitage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Striding Figures (Version 2) im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.750,00 (€ 247.224,78).
