This artwork by Ken Moroney achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures and Prints auction, the work A Bowl of Cherries With A Candle To The Side, On A Table sold for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,576.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ken Moroney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Punch and Judy, which sold at auction in September 2002 for GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,547.96).
