A top price for Ken Moroney - as previously expected
The work Punch and Judy by Ken Moroney was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in September 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,547.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Punch and Judy is the most expensive artwork by Ken Moroney that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Punch and Judy von Ken Moroney wurde im September 2002 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.547,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
