This artwork by Keith Haring achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in January 2012. In the Modern & Contemporary Editions auction, the work Scissors, from Pop Shop III suite sold for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,661.07) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Haring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Keith Haring erzielte im Januar 2012 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Editions wurde die Arbeit Scissors, from Pop Shop III suite für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.661,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
