Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art, which included the work Fontana Mix by Kazuya Sakai. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,087.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kazuya Sakai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sky of Texas, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 107,100.00 (€ 109,475.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fontana Mix von Kazuya Sakai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.087,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kazuya Sakai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Sky of Texas beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 107.100,00 (€ 109.475,62) versteigert wurde.
