Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work This Morning by Kay Sage was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2001. It achieved a price of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,408.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kay Sage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Passage in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,263,644.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit This Morning von Kay Sage kam im Februar 2001 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.408,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kay Sage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Passage im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.263.644,43).
