Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Apostrophe by Kay Sage. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,150.00 (€ 22,959.18). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kay Sage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Passage in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,263,644.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Apostrophe von Kay Sage zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.150,00 (€ 22.959,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kay Sage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Passage im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.263.644,43).
