Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kazimir Malevich achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2014. In the Russian Art auction, the work An Austrian Went To Radziwill sold for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,809.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kazimir Malevich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suprematist Composition in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 85,812,500.00 (€ 73,532,562.13).
