This artwork by Karl Haendel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2010. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work 2Nd Question Mark sold for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,006.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karl Haendel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mazel Tov Group (Untitled (Whale); New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #27; Circus #3; Emmett Kelly; Dylan Lyrics #2) in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,260.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karl Haendel erzielte im März 2010 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit 2Nd Question Mark für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.006,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Haendel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mazel Tov Group (Untitled (Whale); New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #27; Circus #3; Emmett Kelly; Dylan Lyrics #2) im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 29.260,30).
