In March 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work The Artist'S Children, Kathleen And George, In The Garden, Giverny by Karl Albert Buehr. The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,852.27), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Albert Buehr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the Terrace in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 409,000.00 (€ 258,778.87).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Artist'S Children, Kathleen And George, In The Garden, Giverny von Karl Albert Buehr zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.852,27) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Albert Buehr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On the Terrace im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 409.000,00 (€ 258.778,87).
