Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jeune Fille dans une Barque by Karl Albert Buehr was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Albert Buehr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Terrace, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 409,000.00 (€ 258,778.87).

Die Arbeit Jeune Fille dans une Barque von Karl Albert Buehr kam im November 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.718,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Albert Buehr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On the Terrace beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 409.000,00 (€ 258.778,87) versteigert wurde.
