Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gathering Flowers by Karl Albert Buehr was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 32,991.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Karl Albert Buehr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the Terrace in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 409,000.00 (€ 258,778.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gathering Flowers von Karl Albert Buehr wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 32.991,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Albert Buehr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On the Terrace im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 409.000,00 (€ 258.778,87).
