Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Martyr by Kadhim Haider was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 203,600.00 (€ 235,928.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kadhim Haider - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Al Qamar, which sold at auction in May this year for GBP 635,400.00 (€ 739,292.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Martyr von Kadhim Haider kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 203.600,00 (€ 235.928,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kadhim Haider mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Al Qamar beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für GBP 635.400,00 (€ 739.292,13) versteigert wurde.
