Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Studies for the "Epic of the Martyr" series by Kadhim Haider was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online auction at Bonhams in January this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,460.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kadhim Haider achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Al Qamar in May this year with an auction result of GBP 635,400.00 (€ 739,292.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Studies for the "Epic of the Martyr" series von Kadhim Haider wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.460,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kadhim Haider erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Al Qamar im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 635.400,00 (€ 739.292,13).
