A top price for Kadhim Haider
This artwork by Kadhim Haider achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in May this year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work Al Qamar sold for GBP 635,400.00 (€ 739,292.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00. This high result makes Al Qamar the most expensive artwork by Kadhim Haider that we have observed at auctions so far.
