Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work The Family by Justine Kurland for USD 125.00 (€ 94.11). This price was achieved in the auction First Open: Summer Edition at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Justine Kurland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four Leaf Clovers (Lexington, Virginia) in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,395.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Family von Justine Kurland für USD 125,00 (€ 94,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open: Summer Edition bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Justine Kurland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four Leaf Clovers (Lexington, Virginia) im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.395,53).
