Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work You And I by Justin Lieberman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 100.00 (€ 113.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Justin Lieberman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Woman's Voice... in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 4,745.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit You And I von Justin Lieberman im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 100,00 (€ 113,51) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Justin Lieberman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Woman's Voice... im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 4.745,33).
