Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2021 Christies in Paris held the auction Vente en ligne d'Art Contemporain, which included the work First thought, Then substance by Justin Lieberman. The auction ended at the price of EUR 500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Justin Lieberman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Woman's Voice... in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 4,745.33).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Vente en ligne d'Art Contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit First thought, Then substance von Justin Lieberman zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Justin Lieberman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Woman's Voice... im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 4.745,33).
