Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Painting Series 07 08 11 (I Believe A Miracle) by Jumaldi Alfi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,051.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jumaldi Alfi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 50,859.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Painting Series 07 08 11 (I Believe A Miracle) von Jumaldi Alfi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.051,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jumaldi Alfi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 50.859,49) versteigert wurde.
