Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian, which included the work Meditation by Jumaldi Alfi. The price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 10,082.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 85,000.00 – 125,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jumaldi Alfi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 50,859.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Meditation von Jumaldi Alfi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 10.082,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 85.000,00 – 125.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jumaldi Alfi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Colour Guide Serie: Homage To Martin Kippenberger im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 50.859,49).
